Binary Society
1 to 5 | Pencil on paper
The theme for my folio was ‘Binary Society,’ inspired by the intensely structured social dichotomy that enforces the way people in society are perceived as attractive or unattractive, male or female. I wanted to instead flip this notion on its head, exploring the grey area that exists outside of these binaries and focus on my own body and experiences as someone who might not necessarily conform to beauty standards.
