During Unit 3/4, I aimed to develop the visual concepts for HUBBLE, a narrative-driven, third-person adventure game, LUMA V. The game follows a single character’s journey through an interactive environment, learning relevant information on the story and surroundings. To begin the development, HUBBLE needs to augment their team with 3D design skill resources. They also need general design skills to fully translate and visualise their story script and ideas into cohesive visuals, which will inspire the rest of the team to create a cohesive game environment and story. Utilising inspiration from similar genres and styled games, I created concept designs and depictions to illustrate the possibilities of the proposed game. I have incorporated visual styles to represent the intense themes of loneliness and human connection. In this presentation, you will see the character I created and the game environment concepts interacting with the character.
