For my Unit 3-4 work for visual communications, I created the concept of ZERODAY, a Melbourne-based band dedicated to making electronic music that mocks and explores the modern world through the lens of retro-futurism. The band aims to captivate young people interested in technology and the future. Zeroday is entering a self-proclaimed "new age" with the release of their new album Garbage In, Garbage Out. Because of this, they require a new logo and a design for the album cover. In the first section, I designed the logo, contrasting constrained and influential styles and focusing on the font type. For the album's visuals, I took inspiration from early 2000s internet culture in a modern setting to create sleek and shiny imagery. I focused on developing a form resembling a rubbish container, which I transformed digitally into a futuristic look.
