School Moments

‘School Moments’ was created to represent the hectic schedule of a high school student in the twenty-first century. In the final artwork, I have emphasised the chaotic vibrancy that comes with looking at the unnoticed moments from an individual’s school life. This is demonstrated by the movement of several objects, which represents the change from one task to another. The repeated motif of the laptop emphasises the idea of completing schooling in the twenty-first century, communicating the shift from primarily utilising notebooks to regularly using computers for schoolwork. When the nine separate paintings are placed together, a sense of chaos is created, representing how time passes swiftly when one is always preoccupied with finishing schoolwork.
