My passion for illustration led me to consider developing a client, a newly Australian-based publisher unit, Peap Publisher, who hopes to kickstart the launch of their branch by releasing a redesign of "Alice in Wonderland". The client wants to transmit adventurous, mysterious, and fantastical aesthetics through a book cover and a collectors' box for Carroll's enthusiastic readers. The inspirational elements of the story provided a backdrop for me to propose a futuristic theme. I focused on the main three characters: Alice, the rabbit and the cat. I also designed the typeface so it would suit the futuristic model. I used digital methods to create a colourful background with highly saturated and vivid colour tones. I develop each character in unity with the text. I depicted the box's interior as an enchanted land and added bushes and flowers at the four corners to match the triangular shape of the book cover.
