This is an artwork of celebration, as it is the very last animation that I will make using ‘Pencil 2D,’ the program I have used to animate since I was 14 years old. This work marks a new beginning in my career and life, as I’m not bound by simplistic materials and will be free to create art in a more efficient, and fun process. My animation is a part of a larger story that I had concocted last year, that I’ve been using as inspiration for my works. The story is of post-apocalyptic genre, which lead me to use muted colours to fit the dull, depressing atmosphere of ‘the end of the world.’ The style of my character design and experimentation with animation as a medium has come a long way and will continue to grow. I am very proud of what I’ve made and excited for the future.
