I created this digital drawing to illustrate concepts from the Chinese classic, 'Dream of the Red Chamber'. The artwork depicts the illusory realm from the protagonist Jia Baoyu’s dream, known as the "Land of Illusion". Within the composition, four vividly coloured trees symbolize different emotions, joy (yellow), anger (red), sorrow (blue), and happiness (green). Each colour reflects the emotional depth of the story and embodies the protagonist’s belief in the principle of “true feelings first,” expressing the importance of genuine emotion.
